Powering the world with clean electricity
The problem: Continuing to burn coal, oil and natural gas to power homes and industry creates pollution that harms our health and warms the planet. While many communities and countries are shifting to low-cost clean energy, like wind, solar and battery storage, progress is uneven and moving far too slowly.
What we’re doing about it: EDF is working with governments, companies and communities to cut pollution from the power sector. In the U.S., we push for system-wide changes to the way electricity is bought and sold — so that clean energy gets a fair shot — and modernization of the power grid so that everyone benefits from cheaper, cleaner, more reliable electricity.
