Description

Pam manages strategies to help lower agricultural methane, developing innovative solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while also ensuring benefits for smallholder producers, farmers, ranchers and their communities. She also brings her expertise in international sustainability to align local initiatives with international frameworks like UNFCCC, bridging technical expertise with strategic relationship building to advance climate action. Before working in agriculture, she worked extensively in the long-term sustainability of both fisheries and fisher livelihoods.

Background

Pam has studied and worked predominantly with aligning social, environmental and economic incentives. She has been with EDF since 2009, where she previously worked closely with small-scale fishermen in the field, engaging small-scale fishing communities and representatives to drive systems change and working in the international policy space. Raised in coastal communities in the US and Latin America, she also speaks Portuguese and Spanish fluently.
