New York’s Pioneering Energy Reform Takes First Concrete Step to Becoming Reality
EDF statement from Rory Christian, Director, New York Clean Energy
(NEW YORK – July 2, 2015) New York’s investor-owned utilities yesterday submitted their list of demonstration projects related to the state’s Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) effort aimed at paving the way to a 21st-century energy future. The projects are real-life examples of how utilities will work with third-party companies to offer clean energy solutions to customers.
“New York has taken an integral first step toward turning its bold energy reform into reality. One of the main goals of REV is to give customers greater control over their energy use and costs, and these demonstration projects place customer needs front and center. The projects will serve as test beds for new, innovative approaches that help New York meet its ambitious emissions reduction targets.”
