Trump Administration's Unlawful Power Grab Threatens Clean Air, Water and Jobs
EDF statement from Joanna Slaney, AVP, Political Affairs
(WASHINGTON – Jan 28, 2025) "The Trump administration’s unlawful power grab will take away protections for our drinking water and clean air. It will cause immediate harm to people’s lives, threaten manufacturing jobs across the U.S., disrupt clean energy development and devastate communities. The American people did not ask for these health protections and economic benefits to be taken away.
“This is the reckless Project 2025 agenda in action. Nominating Project 2025 architect Russell Vought to lead the White House budget office should set off alarm bells. He is openly planning to grab power from Congress and destroy the checks and balances that protect the American people.”
