EDF Live: Protecting Cuba’s Gardens of the Queen
Award-winning actor and filmmaker Jorge Perugorría shares an exclusive first look at his new documentary Los Jardines de la Reina. The film explores the breathtaking underwater world of Cuba’s Gardens of the Queen National Park and the scientists who are leading efforts to protect the park. Jorge, widely known as “Pichi,” takes us on a deeper dive into his filmmaking experience and the partnerships that made it possible.
We’re also joined by Yociel Marrero Baez from the Cuban environmental NGO Antonio Núñez Jiménez Foundation for Humanity and Nature, and a close partner of EDF. Yociel shares more on the success of our partnership and the importance of strengthening U.S.–Cuba collaborations as we work to protect the abundance of our oceans and ability to adapt to a changing climate.
